To Pennsylvania Lawmakers: A Petition To Support Traditional Family Values

We, the undersigned, ask our Pennsylvania Lawmakers to PROTECT the establishment of traditional marriage between one woman and one man by way of a Constitutional Amendment. We urge legislators to UPHOLD the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act which prohibits discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations and NOT amend it to include those claiming a specific "sexual orientation" and "gender identity or expression." We also urge legislators to UPHOLD the Fair Educational Opportunities Act which focuses on post-secondary education and NOT amend it to include the categories "sexual orientation" and "gender identity or expression." We urge legislators to consider and uphold the three requirements for a group of individuals to claim minority class status and special protection from discrimination:

1. Immutable Characteristics like race and gender which are clearly identified by unchangeable physical characteristics such as skin color or gender that defines them as an insular and discrete group,

2. Financial Discrimination resulting in the lack of ability to earn an average mean income, obtain an adequate education or enjoy cultural opportunities, or

3. Political Weakness which demonstrates a group as politically powerless.
